You probably do not even want to know what time my alarm went off on this day to get ready, get packed up and ‘encourage’ the three other members of my family to get going!  It was early!  Very Early!  Very Dark, but we were out the door and on the road!

When we arrived at the Grand Canyon National Park we were one of the very first ones there!  It took a few minutes for my eyes to adjust and I realized we had arrived just in time!  The first pieces of daylight were poking through the clouds in a beautiful pink display!

 

Of the few people we experienced the sunrise with …. there is always someone that gets too close for my comfort:

Good Morning!

After we all woke up a little and shared a doughnut breakfast overlooking the canyon we were ready to explore!

Since we arrived so early we practically had the the park to ourselves! It was nice to be able to walk up to viewing areas and be the only one around!
